FOODS

During the retreat, meals are mostly vegetarian, although the menu may also include dairy and eggs. Please specify any other special needs on the registration form and inform the guide during the initial interview.

This tradition promotes the observance of the Precept of Not Eating After Midday, so no food will be offered after this time. Please specify on the registration form and in the interview if you have any medical condition that prevents you from observing this schedule so that we can properly consider it.

RESERVATION OF THE VACANCY

When you send us the Registration Form, we'll also provide you with the information you need to make the bank transfer that will constitute the reservation. This step can be completed up to one month before the retreat date. This money covers food and other expenses, but it doesn't constitute a donation.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN MEDITATION

To participate in our retreats, you do not need any prior meditation experience. However, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the practice of TWIM through our various activities and follow the recommendations your guide will provide during your initial interview.

DHAMMA TALK

The Dhamma Talk is the only mandatory activity of the day. It is important during this time to remain open to listening. Follow the Guide's instructions regarding appropriate times for questions. Brief notes may be taken, and recordings or electronic devices are not permitted.

CELL PHONES

The use of cell phones is not recommended during the Retreat. If anyone needs to use one for any specific reason, please state this on the registration form and in the interview with the guide.

WHAT TO BRING?

OUTFIT

We recommend light and comfortable clothing appropriate for the season.

TO MEDITATE

Pillows that you consider necessary for your comfort.

TO SLEEP

We use sleeping bags or sheets depending on the location where the retreat takes place.

PERSONAL HYGIENE

Towels and personal hygiene products that you consider necessary.

FOR WALKING MEDITATION

Repellent, sunscreen, cap or hat, flashlight.

DANA

Donations are made for the Guides and the Center. The registration fee only covers food and other items used exclusively for the Retreat. The Retreat location is donated by a practitioner or supporter, as we do not have our own space. It is important to understand that our only financial support as a meditation center is donations. The teachings are offered openly and free of charge. Traditionally, each participant offers their donation (dana) to the extent they feel they have benefited from the practice. The Guides lovingly offer their time and expertise but maintain a secular life with family responsibilities.

Thanks to donations, we can continue offering these activities free of charge so everyone can access them.

Donation is entirely at the discretion of each participant. Each participant's offering helps others receive the teachings in the future. The donation is usually made on the last day of the retreat.
